    Gina Smith, MS, LCPC

Gina is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has a calm and empathetic nature that shines through when helping others. The environment she provides in the counseling setting consists of a non-judgmental and trusting atmosphere.  Throughout treatment, Gina guides her clients to learn how to identify and correct thoughts and behaviors that are negatively impacting their lives.

In Gina's own words:

Do you feel like you wear a mask to portray happiness, but deep inside you're falling apart? Are you trying to juggle everything, with no progress? It's a scary feeling that leaves you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, alone and stuck. Together we can work through life challenges, whether it involves current issues that interfere with daily life or past events that keep coming up. My goal is to open your mind, expand your thoughts on what is possible, to offer you a vision for your future, to enhance your current skills to create healthier ones.

I believe that positive change occurs through the integration of approaches that meets the client's emotional and psychological needs. Throughout this type of treatment, clients learn how to identify and correct negative thought patterns by replacing them with positive ones which can contribute towards a healthier way of thinking.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults with a wide variety of life issues, including relationship, single parenting, family conflict, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and child/adolescent behavioral issues.
